GREENBELT TREE REMOVAL
The drought and unusually hot summer has killed a
number of the trees in our greenbelts. This drought,
considered the worst in a century, could continue
through 2012 or longer. Your Woodland Hills Trail
Association has developed a plan to remove dead
trees in our greenbelt system in North Woodland Hills
and South Woodland Hills.
Your Woodland Hills Trail Association Board of Directors
has approved a contractor to remove dead trees from the
greenbelts in North and South Woodland Hills beginning on
or about the end of January. The initial phase of the work
will be in the areas surrounding the North Woodland Hills
swimming pool and playground and the South Woodland
Hills pool and playground.
This work will take some time to complete. By its very nature, the area
immediately around the work area is dangerous. Therefore, that portion of the
Woodland Hills trail where trees are being removed will be closed to the
public. DO NOT ENTER signs will be posted. For your own safety and that of
your family, we ask that you stay out of the closed areas and stress to your
children how important it is to stay out of the tree removal areas.
